What is shamanism?
"Since time immemorial, certain men and women have felt called to create wholeness, safeguard knowledge, guide the lost and commune with the spirit world. These unique individuals, known as shamans, were mystics and seers, repositories of wisdom, and keepers of herbal lore. The word shaman literally means 'he or she who knows.' Shamanism is grounded on the principle that the visible world is saturated with unseen forces that influence the lives of human beings. A shaman may communicate with the spirit world in order to connect more directly with the soul of their client or with the force causing imbalance.They often work closely with animal guides, plant and earth spirits, or your spirit guides, and may make use of herbal remedies to supplement other forms of treatment. Shamans, as intermediaries between the physical and spiritual realms, recognize that all obejects are in manner alive and retain information that can be utilized to restore wholeness. A shaman works with energy to assist you in restoring power where you have lost it and removing misplaced energy. At these marvelous crossroads of great world ages, it may be helpful for many to connect to the stories that help us make an easier transition into the New Age.
This new age is heralded by the Maya and Veda's and relates to the energies that occur now and until after 2012. Ihere are great references and good commentary on why and how we can affect the energetic fields of the planet. There is also a recent Coast to Coast where his last interview with George Noory shares this message. A lineage that shares at the moment much of these truths for instance can be seen in the DVD 'Odyssee 2013' by Sharon Rose, it is the Inca lineage we see foremost explained. We have been blessed to recently been initiated in the Munay Ki and feel a path evolving already connecting with the many years of shamanic practice and being of service to Divine.
